This trailer shows up in Apple Trailer. I’ve never known it before. I download and watch this trailer because its plot is about virtual world. This must be a visual fx showcase. At the moment I see the word “VFX concept text”, the only question came up to my head is …. how should this trailer sound?

I’m now considering to buy new synth which is just a compact synth but with full-sized key. There’re 2 candidates; Korg R3 and Roland SH-201. I can easily find information of SH-201 on Roland’s website. But for R3, I think Korg’s website is not good at usability.

I’m able to upgrade from Pro Tools LE 7.4.2 to 8.0 with no cost because I bought MBox 2 Mini after October 3rd, 2008. I rarely use Pro Tools so far but I plan to use it more on my mac to get started on sound design. So I decide to download Pro Tools 8.0 LE from Digidesign yesterday.

This video is the making of “The Dark Knight” scores. Hans Zimmer talked about how the idea came up. You’ll see his workspace in this video. Even though I’ve heard for long time that Hans owns a lot of gear, looking at his workspace in this video is impressed. It’s like a spaceship indeed.
