I’m finding the way to manage sound effect library on my mac. On windows, my DAW is Nuendo and I use Foobar2000 as music player & sound FX manager. The advantage of using Foobar are ;

• audio files can be viewed & managed the same as their folder structure in Windows.
• audio files can be dragged directly into Nuendo’s sequence.

These two are what I need now. On mac, I use iTunes. Of course, it can’t view files as folder structure. anyway, I still want to know if it can be dragged directly into DAW. So I tested it with 4 DAW and the result is ;

• Pro Tools 7 : No
• Soundtrack Pro 2 : No
• Logic Pro 8 : Yes
• Digital Performer 6 : No

Logic Pro 8 is the only DAW I tested which support what I want. If I decide to use Pro Tools, I’ve to accept that I can’t drag file from iTunes into it. Otherwise, I better pay $70 for Audiofinder (http://www.icedaudio.com/)
